Our mission is to encourage safe and sober driving to reduce transportation crashes, injuries and fatalities. We encourage the public to get involved and help us achieve our goals and become a part of TEAM Georgia.
Since 1985, TEAM Georgia has worked to save lives and reduce injuries on Georgia's roads and waterways. TEAM Georgia draws on the support of public safety officials, law enforcement, professional sports teams and venues and a wide range of corporations and individual volunteers to end impaired driving. Successful public education programs like the Safe Holiday Program and volunteer operated Designated Driver/Safe Driver Booths at Atlanta's highly-trafficked sporting and cultural venues are key ways we deliver our life saving messages to the public. TEAM Georgia works closely with the Governor's Office of Highway Safety, other highway safety agencies and additional effective third parties in a community-wide coalition to stop needless tragedies resulting from impaired and distracted driving.
TEAM Georgia's New Designated Driver Program--"Sign-Up Georgia"
Since 1985, TEAM Georgia has encouraged safe and sober driving, leading to a significant reduction in crashes, injuries and fatalities. This summer, we are asking individuals to sign a pledge (hosted on our website) that states they will commit to acting as a sober driver at an event or events they attend in the future. Those who take the pledge will be automatically be entered into a drawing for a $50 restaurant gift card, provided by the Georgia Restaurant Association. Pledge signup will be open from June 6, 2019 to September 15, 2019 and individuals may pledge one time per month, thus increasing their chances of winning.
We urge you to promote this pledge contest to your friends and family via social media, email and word-of-mouth. If you have any questions about the program, please reach out to Bob Cucchi, TEAM Georgia Executive Director, at email@example.com.
